Neurodiversity Speaker
Amplify the voice of the neurodivergent community
Let’s get to know each other
I’m Alicja (‘A-lee-tsya’) Nocon, a neurodiversity coach, trainer and speaker based in the UK and operating worldwide. A few facts about me:
I’m Silesian-Polish (born and bred in a coal-mining city in Schlesien) and British (first-generation economic immigrant).
I sought a late-life diagnosis of the autism spectrum in my early 30s.
I have worked in corporate settings: I worked in the insurance industry as an actuary for 10 years — out of which 9.5 years without knowing I’m autistic.
My research on character strengths of autistic adults in the UK has been published in a peer-reviewed academic journal.
My current interests include the use of art (photography, poetry and more) and body (interoception and organised physical movement, such as yoga and running) in helping create sustainable identity shifts.
I believe that everyone can thrive in the right environment.
In my view, neuroinclusion can only be achieved by making working environments more inclusive while empowering neurodivergent individuals to self-advocate. That’s why I partner with both neurodivergent individuals and organisations.
In addition, I want to expand the impact of my work by amplifying voices of the neurodivergent community through speaking engagements.
